My partner and I recently stayed at a hostel in Ponta Delgada and had a great time. The location was fantastic, right in the center of everything. We enjoyed chatting with other travelers and the hostel had a great atmosphere. Access was easy with the external key box and the communication was excellent.
One specific situation that stood out was when we arrived tired and needed a place to work. Unfortunately, there was no dedicated workspace available, but we were able to use the kitchen area where there was a table with Wi-Fi access.

The value for money at the Azores Dream hostel was excellent - we got a great room with a huge balcony and a surprise bathroom. The location was perfect, and the staff treated us like family, going out of their way to make us comfortable and even arranging a cheaper taxi to the airport.
The breakfast menu could have been improved by having a better setup in the kitchen/dining area. The dining table being too close to the kitchen made it uncomfortable to maneuver around while preparing or getting food, especially when there were a few people eating at the same time.

The staff at this hostel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They provided us with useful information about car rentals and made our check-in process extremely easy. the location of the hostel was also a major plus, as it was right in the center of everything. All the services we needed were within walking distance. the hostel had a nice design with spacious rooms and common areas, which made us feel like we were in our own little wonderland.
If you are a light sleeper, it's worth noting that you may hear some noise from planes landing/taking off as well as other guests coming and going during the night. the lack of air conditioning meant that it could get a bit stuffy at night, especially with the noise outside.
